Currently I am watching Zulu Dawn (1979) staring Burt Lancaster. and Peter O'Toole It is a pretty good movie about a pivotal moment in South African history and indeed the interaction of European and African civilizations. It certainly shows the unequalness of the two societies and why and how one came to dominate. The Battle of Isandlwana is kind of like the battle of Caramarca in that it shows just how unequal technology and military & logistical abilities were between western societies and non-western societies. It is telling that even temporary setbacks due to incompetent leadership still lead to long term defeat just as it did for American Natives, New Zealand Natives, or even Australian Natives. They were truly fighting an up hill battle against all odds.
I am only halfway through it but my initial reaction is it is not as good as the original 1964 movie Zulu which depicted the battle of Rorke's Drift. The cinematography is good for the time period though.“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. I do really enjoy Las Vegas tv show. Also I like American Casino and Vegas. Is there someone like me? Furthermore, I like to play similar games and imagine that I'm somewhere in Vegas for real, try to play 1-casinosenligne.com/machines-a-sous/online casino game and I'm sure you'll feel my vibe

I have started with "The Handmaoid`s Tale".
Considering the real world, with the fanaticism of Trumpists and the often misogynist fundamentalism of many christian sects, I get a very eerie feeling when watching the showTamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

My wife is a big Harry Potter fan so we watched the first Fantastic Beasts about a month ago (iTunes).
My daughter recently has wanted to watch Big Hero 6, which I like, and we have allowed her to watch once or twice (it is a bit violent for her).

I started Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime.“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

I started to watch "The Looming Tower" recently, dealing with the threat from AQ from the embassy bombings in Afrcia to 9/11 (I guess, dunno if it goes much beyond). It's 10 eps, so not too long. I found it quite good, tho I was too lazy too check what was fact, and what was added for fiction/drama etc.
A big part of it is CIA/FBI rivalry when dealing with certain info. But there are also sex scenes. Just saying.

Played a lot of video games over the holidays so I needed considerable filler TV for background noise.
The best two were the extended mythbusters marathon and the Game of Thrones replays. Both were very adequate background material.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
