Does Apolyton actually have a proper Stupid Videos Thread? Or should i just stick them wherever my passing whims deem appropriate?I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!

The worst invention, at least for its inventor, may have been the Brazen Bull.
Because the inventors client (the tyrant of Akragas) chose to do an Alphatest with the Bull, using the inventor himself.
Also several years later, when the tyrant of Akragas was overthrown, he himself was subjected to a painful execution in the Brazen Bull.Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."

It was weird. I was one of the play testers for that. We didn't bother complaining about that because we knew it wouldn't change, but when we complained about the land being boring, they explained that it was a feature. When we told them the wonders weren't wonderful they explained that it was feature. When we complained that the AI sucked, they explained that they were on a deadline. When ever we pointed out a possible exploit that we were using to make the game fun, they'd remove it. So basically they had us play testing it to provide feedback and then ignored us. I never played the game after it was released. Maybe i'll try VI once after it hits the bargain bins. (because I hear there is no real replay-ability unlike IV.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

V with all the updates was good. I think better than IV (not counting mods). But then again I was never much of an MPer.
i got vanilla VI when it was a humble monthly highlight, so USD 12 with other stuff thrown in, so good price IMHO. I like it a lot, although it could use some more dynamism. The ai sucks, though.Indifference is Bliss

I still wonder why Firaxis never tried to make an army system similar to the one that Activisions Civilization - Call To Power used.
IMHO it not only prevented Stacks of Doom (each army had a maximum number of units it could contain), but also integrated special abilities of the units in a believable manner (by integrating flanking and ranged attacks into the automatic combat between armies)Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death.
