He did a rules-lawyer post-report when he was actually mad at me for doing a friend-duty "WTF are you doing over there, mate?" caution about OT reactionary political rants in CFC's Site. There's a Good Dale, none of you seem to remember, but there's a Bad Dale you do, at his worst when on a stupid political/trolling tear, and I knew better and that's on me - but he made sure to PM my active staff -and I think what happened was his intent, and if so, I take off my hat in awe of his genius of the most spectacularly-successful social-engineering/malicious/manipulative troll I. Have. Ever. Seen. In. My. Entire. LIFE- and the storm of ****-drama and circular firing squad that ensued was worthy of the Panda Staff Room, where such behavior is SOP. Cost me two mods and the friendship and member participation of one forever.

He didn't get his way on the reported post, though. AC2 is not Futurama's Central Bureaucracy, where "technically correct" is "the best KIND of correct!"

And his final act was a PM "forgiving" me, and leaving forever.

WOW, did that final insult ever piss me off. I didn't answer, but after stewing in my own juices for a couple months -and considering he's the first human being I ever had to ban, (and twice more since), making him an Official Serially Vexatious Poster (AC2's catch-all Ben rule that I literally thought up in case of Ben) (and there was also malice/spite aimed by me at the person I lost, who failed to have my back, but had Dale's even though disliking him)- I decided it was right to take him at his word about leaving forever, and issued the perma. He's crapped my living room floor for the last time.



Funny thing, though; the reason it was on my mind and leaked into making a joke about is because - Solver and I chat on Skype with long intervals between, and he cares enough about the community to listen to all the current developments and gossip I think to convey, though rarely enough to check. And I told him about Dale, not in nearly the detail I'm giving you, and he didn't try to claim Dale isn't what he is, but talked about Dale's reciprocal loyalty and we exchanged many thoughts randomly, in which he mentioned that Dale's word of honor was gold...

...Holy CRAP! He's right. Dale's promises are reliable, if you can get his promise, and that morally obligates me to PM him and ask if he'd like to make me some promises to talk his way out of the perma. I've had business delaying writing that PM for exactly week, and now go to do it before looking at another thread, doing it now being the only cure for procrastination.

Honestly, it sounds like you got butt hurt and let your emotions get the better of you. Or maybe I am missing some key detail. I do know in the past you have liked to claim people are trolling when in fact they are simply expressing an opinion different from your own. Was that the case here? As for Solver, over all I think Solver is a good guy; I remember when he came to help Poly after it got hacked and he didn't have to do that, so that was nice. I am not sure he has the personality to be a good mod. I remember when Whoopsie first started and he went on a mass permabanning spree simply because people used the word "Panda" in a few posts. He had to have mass banned a half dozen people for that while I had avoided saying the word Panda after he started rage banning people but I still had my same Panda avatar (which, of course, pissed him off because he was being irrational)... So he permabanned me admitting I hadn't broke any rule but said I might in the future so he was preemptively banning me.

A nice guy on an individual level but some folks aren't made out to be mods. Dale actually agreed I shouldn't have been bamned but he and Solver were partners so he didn't want to go against Solver.
