Probably true as elderly folks retiring have had a life time to accumulate assets compared to ypung couples with kids. That said the elderly are not known to be all that economically vibrant. They are retired on fixed incomes where as the young are participating in the workforce, starting families, and simply buying more stuff on a day to day basis.

So I can see pluses and minuses with both. As I said before this seems to just be the regular churn of population instead of any one group deciding to leave the state for political reasons.

Virtually every Google result describes it as the laptop that DSW "frantically fought to keep prosecutors from examining." The article is mostly a hand-waving exercise, with incendiary speculation like: "There must be material on that laptop that that is incriminating. Very incriminating. Perhaps of DWS, perhaps of some of the other House Democrats who hired the Awan gang."

The article does not address the key question of "So what?"

And I figured that that would be a hard question for you.

we know the history and thats why they're being removed

Uhm the remopval of statues wans'orderedby the government, but by the municipalities ... upon public pressure.

Perhaps in the years before the majority of the local populace wassdn't educated enough about the evils of slavery and racism (not surprisingly, considering that just 60 years ago a black woman was arrested for daring to occupy a seat reserved for whites ... that racial segregation by law only ended roughly 50 years ago ... and that only a few years ago you still had separated Proms in many schools in the south).

Or they feared the wrath of white supremacist/right movements too much to openly oppose those statues ... and perhaps the shock of now having a president who has ties to the alt-right has persuaded them to take a harder stance against the Right and their revered symbols

                        • Really the left changed while W was president. I mean it was already changing, but that change started to accelerate. When Obama became president we started to see that change more clearly as the media was pushing the narrative that if you oppose Obama then you are racist and they clearly showed their bias and what tactics they were now going to use. When Hillary lost they lost their damn minds because this idiocy became so widespread. As I've said, removing the statues doesn't matter. What matters is that the left thinks this is about slavery or people's feewings, or at least you keep pushing that narrative. This is happening because the left is fascist and out of their damn minds. And we are going to see more of this kind of thing.

                          • And you might say they can only do this kind of thing in blue states, but that's not really true. If another leftist becomes president again he or she has a lot of power to do things. And Obama has shown that they have the will to do things like that.
