Yes, that is the logical conclusion. Unfortunately, people are very deceived and manipulated. This is what I hear from the right, "if we remove the statues we will forget history"

                I am not surprised

Seems like even Rboert E. Lee himself (over whose statues removal the whole statue removal battle was started) was an outspoken opponent to erecting monuments commemorating the civil war (and its "heroes"):

He obviously thought that erecting such monuments would serve as a means to divide postwar american society (rather than unite it). And it seems like he was right on this

Dinner, I know you hate both Mexicans and whites, so I wonder what your thoughts on this are.

A brief but explosive shouting match erupted at Chicano Park Sunday afternoon between hundreds of park supporters and a small, right-wing group that had recently criticized the park’s iconic …

If you publicize your demonstration, you should not be surprised that counter-demonstrators show up.

To then whine about what a shame it is "...when American citizens cannot visit a park in their own state, in their own country, without threats and violence" - after creating the entire scenario in the first place - is self-serving, disingenuous bullsh1t.

I would be surprised that HUNDREDS OF MARXISTS AND MEXICAN NATIONALISTS showed up to stop 5 people from having a picnic. Have you completely lost your damn mind?!

5 people showed up ... the interesting question is, however, how many people were supposed to show up?
The right-wing group that planned for the event could have well hoped for a much much larger attendance from people of their side

Dude, you know that this was all about causing a confrontation. They publicized their event. They notified the press. The police obviously knew in advance that it was happening. When you work that hard to trigger people, and people get triggered into showing up, you should not be surprised.

I'm sure Roger "Impeach Obama Now" Ogden and his friends got what they hoped for - just without the lefty violence they were trying so vainly to cause and document.

Of course, if they actually just "go on a picnic" to the park, nothing happens.

Trying to turn this non-event into some sort of anti-Latino/anti-left thing is just wishful thinking on your part (and theirs).

                          Try again, troll.
