Dry, homosexuality is a bad thing or perceived as such?
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

You know the answer to that better than any of us.
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

          And why would that be?

It isn't bad. Love is not wrong. Just as simple as that.

Weren't you the one who perceived homosexuality as bad, and then realized it was not?

I believed in a lot of make believe back in the day and I couldn't accept who I was. What I am stating now is what I always knew. There is nothing with being gay. There was something very wrong with suppressing and emotionally abusing myself!

                Exactly

Old You = Personification of Dry's theory
New You = All better now

Except there was not anything wrong with being gay in the first place.

Kinda describes a certain food stamp buying admitted criminal on this site. I am sure Jesus would have really approved of taking away food from the poor.
Who is a food stamp buying criminal? Inquiring minds want to know.

This entire thread validates feminism's continued existence and pursuits.

Perceived as such by those who oppose it.

Religion is quite good at making people believing weird things. Monotheistic religions present homosexuality as criminal (sin) and harmfull to people. If their followers don't step back and ask themselves "Wait a minute, how is it harmfull?", they end up believing what they were told.
The books that the world calls immoral are the books that show the world its own shame. Oscar Wilde.

Religion makes people believe a lot of weird and dangerous things. Look at Ben for example. And ISIS. The two share a lot in common.
