Hillary Clinton must be having déjà vu. She once again finds herself struggling in the Iowa caucuses due to a potential influx of first-time caucus-goers. Clint…

Sanders seems to be running a good ground game but not on the same level of the Obama '08 campaign which pulled an unexpected win out of the hat putting the Hillary campaign into a defensive death spiral. It honestly looks like Hillary has the edge on GOTV efforts.

This is also going to be Trump's great weakness as he doesn't even have precinct offices in most counties much less every town. Maybe Trump's followers are so dedicated he doesn't need GOTV efforts but I suspect that will not always be the case.

A positive spin is that a Trump presidency might help to heal the republican-democrat rift in Congress when everybody finds that they have common ground in opposing everything that Trump wants to do

You never know. Many presidents have ignored all of their campaign promises the second after they're elected. And there is no way he could actually accomplish a lot of all the crap he's promised.

He might just get his ego stroked enough that he'd just sit back and enjoy it. He's not quite as stupid as a lot of people here think.

But most importantly, the bar has been set pretty low.

Has anyone given The Donald a doll and asked him to point out where Megan Kelly hurt him?

The only person I know who was supporting Trump just withdrew his support, and is now supporting Cruz, because Trump refuses to take part in the next debate.

                    The big questions are.
If Fox backs down and changes moderators, will Trump change his mind?
If he doesn't participate, will it hurt him or help him in the polls?
If he doesn't participate, will the ratings crash and burn (Easiest of the three questions)

People are starting to see that he's a horrible leader.

And some are seeing it as he's standing up to the media. I would think someone is advising him and that person must think it has some advantage.
But then, when egos are in play you never know.

He doesn't look like he's standing up to anyone. He's backing down from a debate. Because of his mental illness he can't handle not getting his way.

As I said, that's your take on it. Others are taking a different take. I also am leaning towards "backing down" but we've seen that many of his supporters are zealots and seem to spin everything.

The problem is that his core supporters would laugh at that accusation.
Even with all the abuse he took for his "I could shoot someone........." comment, he wasn't just making it up. There was a considerable amount of truth in it. And if he REALLY believes that (and there is no indication that he doesn't) there's not a lot out there that will keep him in check so we can anticipate even further entertainment from him.
