I've heard reports that Hayden Christensen is decent in other, non-Star Wars movies. At this point, I think it's pretty clear that while the prequels could have had better actors for some roles, the real culprits were the awful writing, directing, and plot.

I found that Walt Hickey is pretty spot on with this theory: take your least favorite character from any movie and replace the actor with John C. Reilly; new favorite character!

He's a bad actor, but I honestly can't imagine how you could come to the conclusion I was arguing he was a good one. In every post where I mention him, I've said, "He's not good, but I've heard that sometimes he's not awful."
