I thought the three-way sex scene between Han, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 was a little gratuitous. but the upside is i no longer have to use my imagination when thinking about a wookie's penis.
I guess it cleared the only hurdle it had to. I'll see it next weekend with my daughter

Not particularly excited. Will see it at some point, but not necessarily in the theater.
I did not see chapters 1-3, so I haven't seen a new Star Wars movie since the original trilogy.
Last one was Return of the Jedi, right? Which came out over 30 years ago...

Aye ... the last good one before Episode VII was RotJ from 1983

I don't have any big complaints. It looked and felt like a better star wars than the prequels imo
That's a pretty low bar to clear. But at least it managed that.

Isn't that the answer to most of the world's problems.

It was better than the prequels, but it suffered far too much from fan service and rehashing stuff from A New Hope. Jakku may as well have been Tantooine for all it mattered. Planet-sized death star, yawn. Han replacing Obi won as the sacrificial major character, obvious. Space Cantina 2.0, meh. Good stuff: Rey and Finn were great together. Kylo Ren also was a great villain. He started off all cool and intimidating, then you got to see how deeply ****ed up and rather pathetic he really is. He reminded me a lot of the Arkham Knight in...Arkham Knight. Really, it was the performances that made this movie.
There were some annoying plot issues, but this is Star Wars, so it really comes down to whether you had a good time watching it. And yes, I did.
