I think I forgot to mention that my last scan was clear. So I am healthy and have surpassed all expectations, so statistic are not applying anymore. The comment was "it seems stable, that's good even though we don't know the reason". So I am doing great. I got the news like .... about a week ago.

Then, I just got back from a date. Probably the best date I've had, maybe even ever. Why? This woman was excellent. From Australia, so has a funny accent but very positive and a total geek. Scifi buff, just gets excited and with a passion too. An actual geek. Turned out that she happens to be a GP as well. Now, specialising further. So, actually an intelligent person as well with a good job. Enjoyed the same books, got the same cultural references. Oh, did I mention she is pretty? She is. Into Steampunk, red hair, foodie. We went and had hot pot in a great Chinese and then saw the new James Bond. Went for few drinks after that, we even like the same bars. There is no way she could have mirrored me because she led the way! I was more like "right on!". She is also into fanfiction and all that stuff.

Summarum: perfect.

At the end of the date, which lasted the whole day, she asked "so should we do the kissing thing?", and yes we did. And it was great. I did not know such women even exist. And yes, we will go out again! Happiness and bliss. I just really hope we continue enjoying each other's company in the future as well. Usually women like that are not into me.

SO, health and a possible romantic interest. Life could not be better at this very moment. And for that, I will announce a 2 week porn ban.

I have a photo of her but will send you later with her permission. I think she will allow it though. Imagine Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs, except with glasses. Give her tons of smile, constant laughter and super intelligence. Then you get her. Heavily into Fanfic so probably we will geek out with costumes like weirdoes. She is the weird to my strange. With an Australian accent. She is actually from New Zealand originally.

I actually have to slow myself down because I we had such an awesome time, and I don't want to put myself into a situation of grave danger, that would seriously hurt, even though I've only had one date with her. It is as if grew in the same circle, except she's a woman and hot. We can binge on LOTR, SW original, Dr Who. Probably all the series and movies were equally loved, some of them quite fringe too, like Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles, and generic disgust over Hobbit series. One of them things if you like this, you are going ot like this as well. Just like a great friend, but happens to be a woman. And, she asked me out, AND she was the one who went for the kiss. And yes, we saw Bond and laughed throughout the tentacle porn beginning. She's cool like that So I have to slow myself a bit. I sense great danger at the same time. Like she IS busy specialising to become another kidn of a doctor (and she works full time as a GP of course), so that's easily like 12-15 hour days and so I can't be this overbearing person. That's kind of cool because I hate it too, getting 10 text messages a day "what are you doing" because I work a lot. So now we both work a lot, and we can geek a lot as well. It's like I get to play with my PS4, I can get my geek on full and she will probably just get excited about that

Like seriously, I have sometimes skipped on buying stuff like Steampunk decoration to not piss off my now ex-wife for nerd stuff and after that, to actually bring a lady back at my place. Can't have it all Yodad up. Now I can

It was kind of romantic too, we met at this place in Helsinki where all the tourists stop and I did not even know the CHristmas market just arrived there so it was all lit up nice, you could buy cookies and all kinds of warm drinks, and the church bells started ringing when we hugged. And yes, starting off with a hug is the thing to do. Then, this morning the first snow was finally here. Neither of us believe in signs but more scientific approach but it does not take away from the visual beauty and atmosphere that we both enjoyed.

I want to give her a present. Something a bit geeky so I am asking for your suggestions.
I'm thinking of a combo: something from Dr. Who, and then some good quality coffee and perhaps a bottle of red wine, and maybe a card. Any other ideas?

I figured I would of course bring my own mistletoe even though I don't think I'll need it.

So what do you guys think? I think that would be a good present. She is from Australia, and loves LOTR, so probably anything related to that would work as well.

Well, in terms of timing, Star Wars would be more "of the moment." But if she's a Kiwi, I'd go LOTR.

There are tons of great LOTR items out there. Replica weapons or jewelry? The Noble Collection (http://www.noblecollection.com/the-lord-of-the-rings) sells some quality (not cheap) goods. Arwen's pendant or brooch, the Elven brooch, Galadriel's necklace, replica sword letter openers, The One Ring... all kinds of stuff.

I know my present though. We will be making christmas cookies and drinks plus cooking. That means several hours of special time. I want to TALK. Last itme we had such a great time talking. She has to rape me to get sex. Then again, I might lose some self defense skills temporarily. Point being, I am not trying to get into her panties. She seems very special. My strategy is to be myself, polite, smile a lot, listen and talk. If an opportunity arises, then yes, kiss. But nothing more. I let her decide. She is a doctor, so she knows

I wil give her some good coffee with good chocolate, and my personal mug. My mug is important to me because it cannot be bought from any store. It is one of a kind in this country and given as a sign of frienship and trust by a group that gives me instant street cred of ultimate geekdom. It is as if you wre into spy stuff and CIA made mugs and only gave them to few people, but this is to give you an idea, not what happened .

So I will give it to her, it does not cost anything, but it shows that I wanted to give something special and one of a kind. I know it will probably make her a bit hot. So that is part of the reason It also has a camera so when she goes to shower, I can watch her from home... kidding Plus that way I can tell her the story behind the mug, and that's liek foreplay, as she is into this kind of stuff, being a fellow geek. She can appreciate this for sure.
