What's the most evil employer that you've worked for?

I worked for what was essentially an upscale payday loan company, but I quit after the first day when I realized that they were essentially an upscale payday loan company

I also worked for the US air force for four years - I assuaged my guilt with the rationalization that I was designing compilers, and that it's exceptionally difficult to kill somebody with a compiler

I worked for a what I thought was a company that was collecting money door to door to save a wild life preserve, only to discover that less than 5% of the money collected was being used for that purpose and the other 95% was being pocketed. After figuring it out, I eventually had to testify against them in Court.

I worked for the FDA (by way of a contracting company), which meant I was part of the conspiracy to keep the cure for cancer secret. I also worked for Party City, which I don't think requires any explanation evil-wise.

not that they are all that evil

but as far as pizza goes, they suck

and all the soda and trans fats (they probably have since changed it, but the oils used were straight up partially hydrogenated crap) they pushed... i bet give sales records, you could actually figure out the pounds of fat those calories are responsible for

i wasn't paid well

but as corporations go, they are as stupid as any other

it wasn't difficult for me to run a more efficient operation and use the normal levels of waste material for my own particular cash only side business BWAHA

i briefly worked for an investment research company. they were terrible but paid well.... though, not enough to offset the mental health compromises i had to make

they seem pretty legit though, so i would need some evidence before throwing them under the bus

All pizza has trans fats. Cheese naturally contains trans fats. I doubt the oil used in the crust made much of a difference. Diets high in cheese aren't really healthy

i don't have a beef with them (I did get fired, wrongly, but it was an awesome thing to happen to me, so i wasn't mad about it)

my employee stock program turned out quite well

i think i ended up taking maybe $150-250 total out of my paycheck and put it into that program

this was in the mid to late 90's

it split a bunch of times and i eventually put it into something else

up over $6,000 last time i checked
