Man am I getting my ass kicked on Prince Level. (Native Amer, Huge map, 18 Civs, shuffle) Thought I was doing good, had about 7 cities, building up, bout 3 units per city. All of a sudden Louis XIV invades my ass with a SOD of 5 Swordsman, 3 spearman, and 2 archers. I knew I lost at that point so I just retired. Very frustrating.

I don't like early wars but on Prince and above they are the only way to win. Reminds my why I quit playing this game.

Oh well back to Skyrim and NBA 2K.

In hindsight I probably could have survived that SOD that Louis XIV sent after me, especially since I was protective and had walls in major cities.

In my new game I am China (Exp/Pro,) same settings as the last game and I am doing a few things different. First I am sick of tasking workers so I just build them and automate them. This way I can just build like 4 or 5 and let them go to work as opposed to the one worker per city strategy I have used for many years. I already have a new city strategy using the city governor to specialize in certain tasks I need as opposed to one unified city theory for all cities to follow. Also 3 archers per city full defense behind walls on top of an attack unit or 2. If attacked by a SOD it will most likely wipe out my infrastructure but the city will survive then I can pick off the stragglers.

Bunch of other things I''m doing different but you get the idea. Lets see how I do...

Civ 5 is ok. i paid ~$13 for Civ 5 complete so not as good a value as Goat Simulator but it's good for a few hours of mindless entertainment.

Civ 5 is ok. i paid ~$13 for Civ 5 complete so not as good a value as Goat Simulator but it's good for a few hours of mindless entertainment.
