I should explain the fart lest it be misconstrued.
The schengen agreement never was in practise applied for non EU citizens.

So potentially temporarily freezing it means that the french gov is afraid of already EU citizens entering its borders and of course not refugees. Also of those going out.

The issue of security is mallaeuheresment at the front after the tragic events in paris.

All refugees are supposed to be checked on arrival (it is unbelievably a straining task due to sheer numbers) their data are disseminated across the europole (what is primarely being searched is EU residents going to fight in syria and then coming back) and if a bell rings then I don't know.

I was happy to read about the spirit of good will and cooperation in Paris after the attacks. There was a French hashtag that translated to something like "open the door" in reference to people providing shelter to those stuck outside that night.

In the most desperate times of need, humans seem to work together for common good. Door are opened, not closed.

Borders should be opened, not closed. Terrorism fails when we don't give into the fear and hate.
