Obviously. The point was that this idea that AEGIS ships are untouchable is just wrong and dumb. China is extremely close to becoming a superpower and the idea that one AEGIS ship alone off their coast wouldnt be doomed in a war situation is just ridiculous.

Well, given what China has in the area (which isn't anywhere near their coast or any significant military presence), MWHC probably isn't far off on the hypothetical attack. Of course China isn't going to attack a US AEGIS Cruiser with a fleet of coast guard cutters, dredges, and fishing boats so it's still a silly hypothetical. China wouldn't attack the US even if they could sink the ship, because that would be horribly stupid. (And if they could sink the ship the US wouldn't have sailed it there alone either.)

No. The US embargoed oil, we did not blockade. A blockade is an act of war, while an embargo is a diplomatic tool. If we blockaded Japanese oil supplies then that would mean our navy was preventing the delivery of oil from third parties.

No, US Navy will not put one ship in there by itself. My goodness the US Navy will be everywhere. And, everything without a US flag attached to it will already be targeted (fishing boats too if they take one wrong turn). It will be over very soon after it starts. like an earthquake this will rock things back to a more normal state - and the tension will slowly build up again over decades.

He can call the police who will bring whatever force necessary to bring you to justice. That's why the police wear black and carry guns. They even show how strong they are in numbers when the situation calls for it.
