I do both user support(28%), Systems administrator(not listed...but it's actually fairly automated. I assume this falls under "IT Operatiosn Technician" which is fairly high), and some obscure comms stuff(I guess "other telecom professional", 28%).

Because if someone tries to automate their job they'll get sued.

I tell the guys designing the automations what to do. I will never instruct them to automate my function.

I believe we can already automate the function of posting inane things online.

This has been posted before, but...

Fun activity: find how far you can type "Humans need not apply" before Google fills in the rest for you. (for me it was "humans n")

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I'm choosing to reply right now. Later I'll be choosing to learn about quantum mechanics and planetary geology. And later still I'll be choosing to talk to some old people on the phone for a bit so that a company gives me the opportunity to choose to do the first two things.

Likelihood of automation? It's quite unlikely (4%)

Well, I'm way happier now doing something with my life than I was sitting around in my underwear all day, so it seems I've made nothing but smart choices.
