My home BB is elsewhere. A place where there are no adds and no banning.
I have been here from before it's beginnings. I keep coming back because there are people here that I want to irritate and confuse. You know who you are!
To The Hijack Police: I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't do it. I wasn't there. I don't even own a computer.

And you're doing a bang up job of it too!

There is much that should not be taken seriously or even taken at face value. Some of the behaviour does seem senseless at times.

I think some of the other posters in this thread have provided some useful insights. There does appear a certain amount of escapism from the straightjacket of behaving "correctly" all the time in real life. Some try to be funny, sometimes sucessfully and sometimes not.

There are rational debates peppered with comments that seem to be attempts to highlight potential absurdities in whatever is being debated or in the debaters or in what is being said. Sometimes a poster seems to be playing devils advocate. Some posters seem to have their entire self esteem tied up in "being right". Others seem to desire discussion to learn. Some resort to name calling as soon as they meet disagreement with their views. We have a rather wide range of types here and that is reflected in the posts on the fora.

This is a forum with a wide spectrum of people and a wide spectrum of behaviours. There is little in the way of "social norms" common in most groups and other fora.

And yeah, Elok is probably right. Waiting a little while to call somebody a ****head is relatively admirable restraint and moderation on OT.

This is why I use the 1 post per page setting.

              Awesome.

When this thrade gets to page 3 I shall place a poast, to call everyone ****heads.

Everyone will think I am unusually reasonable.

I now look forward to the continued success of this fine thrade.

So, forgive me, if you see me get caught up in the silliness now and again.
Sometimes people post something retarded to get attention. I do that sometimes.

Sometimes people just troll for the hell of it. I do that sometimes.

Sometimes people post like a **** because it is easier. I do that sometimes.

It was actually my subsequent post in Burrito's workout thread.

                          Indeed.

One day, I too will be a god. Only 6,555 poasts to go.

At the moment I am quite angelic, of course.
