  • Kid: I'm seriously deranged and possibly psychotic.
Loin: Wow, I forgot. Yeah, I'm putting you on ignore again.
Kid: This message is hidden because Kidicious is on your ignore list.
Loin: Hmm, my blood pressure seems to have gone down. I wonder if I can raise it again by fantasizing about Kid's psychosis?

    • If you ignore him and leave him to the voices in his head I think he might become even more disconnected from reality.

Nah, fantasizing about his psychosis would have meant creating a crazy Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged style monologue/manifesto - that would raise my blood pressure and would also be a lot of work for no gain (aside from raised blood pressure). I'm fantasizing about him being an idiot, and as I said previously I'd be perfectly fine with him just being a non-psychotic idiot.

Your fantasies are going to get even more bizarre with me on your ignore list. You'll have to resort to calling me insane like everyone else is.

Not sure if this has been shared here already; basically even Republicans are at most evenly divided over this woman. A majority of them think she should simply resign. With the rest of the country, it's not even close. The people who agree with her, one imagines, are basically people like Kid.
              And?

But you have many other fantasies that you could only have gotten by reading my posts. Some only know how to call me insane.

                • The problem with your being insane is that it's difficult to impossible to muster up any disgust for you. If a sane person were to post about how they love everybody and then post vile things about others then I could say "what a disgusting person" and then they'd try to justify their awfulness and it would be mildly entertaining. However in your case you're too insane to recognize that you're awful - you'll do something like post about how you love everybody and then post vile things about others and somebody will say "hey that's sort of contradictory not to mention disgusting" and you'll say "so what." No attempt at justification because you can't understand that there's anything that you need to justify - you love everybody and hate a lot of people and that's just how things are. That's not disgusting, that's pitiful. I get a mild dopamine rush when I think "well I'm kind of an awful person but at least I'm not a rape enthusiast like Slowwhand," but if I think "well I'm kind of an awful person but at least I don't have Down's Syndrome like the guy working the register at McDonald's" then I (justifiably) feel even more awful. You're like the Down's Syndrome guy at McDonald's.

                  • I haven't to see if this has been brought up yet (sick and lazy this morning), but Kid, what of "Render unto Caesar"? What of Christ's admonition to the Roman soldier who asked what he should do, which was simply "take no bribes"? It is clear that Christians serving the government must, in fact, serve the government, without breaking the law. If they cannot in good conscience do that, they must stop working for the government.

You can't muster up disgust for someone who is insane, unless you're insane.

You're fantasies aren't making sense. But then they are just fantasies. I do love everyone. People just frustrate me, like elok, who is making a fool of himself. But how else will he stop making a fool out of himself if no one tells him how foolish he is being.

Yes. I think there is some grey issues there. Ester broke the law. The Civil Rights Movement was about breaking the law. How own country was founded on a revolution against the law.

But I'm not making a stand on that. My point is that what she did is not wrong or right because of what people think. The crowd is not the court of last resort regarding ethical matters.

                        • Ester broke the law, but Jesus said "render unto Caesar" and "take no bribes". Very little room for grey there. Also? As high regard as I have for the Founding Fathers, they were acting in direct contradiction to our Lord's commands. Please do not bring them up as a counterargument, it only makes them look bad.

Sorry somehow missed the the entire last part of you post. right, sick.

"She is not wrong or right because of what people think. The crowd is not the court of last resort regarding ethical matters." This isn't the crowd it is the Federal Court System, set up by Man and, yes, God to decide these matters within the jurisdiction of the united States of America. It is exactly what Christ is pointing at when Christ says "render unto Caesar" and what Paul was refering to when he wrote that the government has the right to use the sword. By making yourself part of the government, you are submitting to its authority. That is where any act of conscience must be applied, because it is then and there that you choose whether to serve or not, with all that implies.

                            • TMM,

The govt is not the court of last resort either. It doesn't decide whether or not it's right to force people to approve of gay marriage. The Eternal Truth decides that.

Just wondering ... Do you hate your family? Have you cut off your right hand?

                              • It is the court of last resort when you defacto accept it as such by working for the government.
