What if we take undifferentiated stem cells from a chimpanzee or Bonobo and then,
with a help of a well shaped growth matrix and ideal application of neural growth factors on it,
grow a brain that looks like a human brain (albeit having Chimpanzee/Bonobo-DNA) and also shows human level sentience and intelligence

The key word is "sentience"; from my perspective, enslavement of any human-level sentience and intelligence flies in the face of morality.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

So, you would also see the use of sentient machinery as slavery (for example the Avatar of spaceship Andromeda ... or Marvin the robot in HhgttG ... or even C3PO and R2D2 in Star Wars)

In the final analysis, how could I not? This will be the defining ethical dilemma for the next age.

I think they call them "real dolls" ... and sentience would be a major flaw in the design ...

But only if my definition of fun isn´t discussing life, the universe and all the rest ...
as in this case the real dolls lack of communication skills might be a big drawback
