they learned how to grow a brain 20 weeks or whatever... and interface it with hardware... other man made devices. someone else here said a brain like this might just be white noise - so feed it with outside world info but controlled, whatever that might be. and let it do it's thing.

you might have a computer with a imagination. I mean... just think about what we have today and people just 100 years ago. a lot can change, very fast. that would be strange!

it will learn about the fate of hitchbot in 2015 ... and will come to the conclusion that humans and sentient computers cannot peacefully coexist ... and that humans therefore have to be erased or locked forever into some kind of virtual env ironment ... lets call it a "Matrix"

with some scraper to scrape off some of your skin cells,in order to turn them into undifferentiated stem cells
some 3D growth matrix where the stem cells can grow into a 3 dimensional brain while still getting supplied with nutrients
and some stereotactic apparatus with some electrodes (with USB connection), you you can experiment with the brain and try to program it


Maybe also with some sensors which you can plug into the brain so you can supply it with environmental stimuli
