lake Michigan has really gone up in levels last couple of years. on the islands in northern part the beaches are almost gone. very clean water too lately. and ice... even until april last year lockin in a lot of islands. we camped last year april, 28degrees and snow first night of a week trip.Comment

That is what they say. Of course, I think that is only part of it. The lakes are freezing far longer than in recent years and it has been wetter. Obviously, an influx of fresh water would make a difference. The Lake is pretty awesome. A cousin of mine actually dives for shipwrecks and lately, the discoveries have been amazing!
