“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

Fish,
Our first cat was an outdoor cat originally so she brought home all sort of hunting trophys to present us. (mostly after she was through picking them apart some)
She'd drop it at your feet in the living room and sit there and wait to be praised for her skill and bringing you something to snack on.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

hence why our new wave of cats were never allowed to be outside cats.
The downside was when they were building a house nearby, some critters got displaced and a mouse tried to make our home it's home.
Our first cat would have ended that in about 30 seconds. Our new cats weren't really sure what to do at first. That mouse survived much longer than necessary. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Yeah, the first time it ran across the room, the two cats were sitting on the couch, looked up and did one of those "what the **** was that" looks.
We're screaming "KILL IT" and they're staring like "what does kill mean"
Eventually they played with it until it died from abuse.
Not exactly the quick kill we had come to expect from our previous cat. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

The little black cat sometimes leaves things she catches on the porch, like insects, mice and lizards. She will play with them a bit before killing them.
One day she ate a small lizard in front of me. Head first, ate it like a salami stick holding it in her paws. She offered it to me first and then sort of went "oh well, suit yourself" and chowed down.
Birds she eats straight away, they are sea birds and are bigger than her, all I see are feathers. We have bird rookeries in the trees around us. When the birds are fledging they better get it right the first time because if they fall in the yard it's all over and resident cats pounce.
She also likes to sit in my chair on the porch, seems to live in our yard. She is small but quite a good hunter. She patrols around, stretches herself out on the porch after eating. The mice here are quite slow and easy to catch.
Her brother comes and goes. I've never seen him catch anything.Last edited by Alexander's Horse; August 3, 2015, 15:00.Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..
Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

I leave higher than the average for both the mail carrier and the garbage men.
My neighbors always wonder why their empty cans get blown around the neighborhood and mine have been returned to behind my house.
I swear I could put a container marked radioactive out there and they'd take it, no questions asked. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
