First the Flag, Next the Monuments:
For those of you not familiar with Richmond, VA, the city is lousy with monuments to the Confederacy and its generals. One of its main thoroughfares, Monument Ave., features a statue of a general every 2 or 3 blocks.A second monument in memory of the Confederacy has been vandalized in Richmond.
Media reports state that the base of the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument was spray painted with red paint either late Thursday or early Friday. The vandalism included an obscenity.
Police are investigating the defacement.
The monument in the city's Libby Hill neighborhood overlooks the James River.
The Jefferson Davis monument in the city's Fan District has been vandalized twice.
The incidents follow the mass killings at a black church in Charleston, South Carolina."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!Comment

I have German ancestry from both sides of my family.
Maybe the next time I visit an American World War II memorial site, I will show up with a Nazi flag. If anyone asks what I think I'm doing, I can just say, "Hey, I'm just celebrating my heritage."A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.Comment

If the Confederate flag should be permitted at Civil War cemeteries and monuments, then does this mean that the Nazi flag should be permitted at WWII cemeteries and monuments? Because according to other MrFun posts in this thread, the Confederate flag is 100% equivalent to the Nazi flag.<p style="font-size:1024px">HTML is disabled in signatures

TAMPA — Surrounded by nearly 50 activists, Crystal Wilson steadied a small American flag in one hand, and a lighter in the other.
"The American flag holds as much hatred, as much oppression, as much blood as the Confederate flag," said Wilson, 25.
She sparked the lighter, guiding the small flame to the red, white and blue cloth. It caught fire, and burned away the flecks of fabric.
Another activist raised two smaller flags to the fire, and a third raised a full-sized American flag to the conflagration.
Together, the emblems of freedom withered into tiny black bits on the sidewalk.
