It is higher up so it no doubt got more water but usually in early summer the rivers and streams are full from snow melting even higher up. The problem is there was virtually no snow this year (or the previous three years) so the waterfalls just aren't as magestic, the forest and grasses just aren't as green, and I hear hungry bears (which normally are higher up eating berries or what not) have come down hoping to steal food from humans.
