Ease up on Alby. It is good to see that he now has the career he always wanted.

I wish him well in the Marines.

The 'software' behind one of the largest mass-market travel retailers here, up until ~3 years ago, was one huge excel sheet ladden with macros. It took around 10 minutes for the sheet to open.

I have a feeling someone down the line will inherit this excel file from Alby, take a look at the code and take their own life in frustration.

Well, it's your fault for hurrying. If you had waited a couple of hours, he could have gotten help from someone who hasn't used it in 5 years, and who is self-taught..

Ah, we're just giving him ****. Nobody is seriously criticizing the fact that he's got a job he likes.

Your employers are ****ing cheapskates if they would rather have a jarhead code something in VBA than hire a real programmer.

It's pretty common, to be honest. There aren't enough people who actually know how to program for all the jobs that require programming.

(Rollover text: colors.rgb("blue") yields "#0000FF". colors.rgb("yellowish blue") yields NaN. colors.sort() yields "rainbow")
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
