I'm pretty sure it's an X-linked recessive gene. My father's going bald but there's no history on my mother's side so I'm safe.

edit: apparently there are autosomal baldness genes as well.

I'm balding, and I've been balding for several years now. I seem to have hair if you look at me at eye level, but an aerial view reveals the truth. My mother's father went bald pretty early on, too. I also have way less hair than my brothers, who are 6 and 8 years older than I am. (I'm 29.)

Speaking of not being manly enough, my NaNoWriMo group has a booth at a local book festival today. They want me to make an appearance so that I can help with the booth and, conceivably, because they enjoy my presence. The new chick will be there. My ex and her boyfriend will also be there. It's been 11 months since I've had serious contact with my ex. I know she misses having me as a friend. Should I man the **** up and go?
