Why do Republicans hate Tesla??

Honestly, it should be an illegal restraint on trade under the constitution but all of the automakers before Tesla bowed to pressure and signed up dealers. Tesla decided having outside dealers would undermine their brand and purchasing experience; they want all dealerships to be one price with no haggling, they wanted much more customer service but if other companies owned the dealerships then that wouldn't be possible. Republican controlled states have responded by trying to outlaw Tesla's direct sales business model but slowly the courts have been working and now Republicans have just finally started retreating from their illegal restraints of trade.

It is really a story about how corrupt the American political system has become and how big money special interests get to write what ever laws they want even if they are obviously unconstitutional.
