People don't agree with what Bernie Sanders says. The fact that he calls himself a socialist isn't what will do him in at all, it's that he is a socialist and his positions on their own are enough to disqualify him. He's in favor of single-payer healthcare, for example, which is a complete nonstarter. Actually he might be in favor of a fully nationalized healthcare system, I'm not sure; that's even less popular.

You mean like the majority of Americans who support singlepayer?

More than five years after the single-payer system was scrapped from ObamaCare policy debates, just over 50 percent of people say they still support the idea, including one-quarter of Republicans, according to a new poll.

          Thanks.
I might end up voting for Clinton in at least 6 different states next year.

          • Now the Republicans have Ben Carson (never heard of him), proving they're not a racist party. Also Carly Fiorina, who hasn't done anything except **** up Hewlett-Packard.

What is old saying supposedly from Chicago: 'Vote early and vote often.'
To The Hijack Police: I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't do it. I wasn't there. I don't even own a computer.

Ben Carson has apparently already been disowned by the evangelicals for not being conservative enough. I shit you not.

                • Conservatives will make a big deal out of merely having a black guy in their presidential debates but he obviously can't win because of the Bradley effect.

                  • Oh for christ's sake. Republicans don't mind voting for black people; he won't win because he knows very little about policy, despite being the smartest person running from either party.

The fact that there are SOME people who think Ben Carson isn't conservative enough means nothing. If the evangelicals had their way Mike Huckabee or Rick Santorum would have won the past two times, but nobody cares about them except to the extent that they show up to the polls on election day.

There are also Democrats who think Bernie Sanders is not liberal enough. They are crazy people. They will not make a dime of difference in the primary there either.

No-one cares about them except for perhaps the most important thing a politician cares about?

Tempted to post poll results, but I suspect you already know you are wrong.

... at least on some level

How is she still around? Is being a token woman that important in the GOP?

He wants to push her left but I don't see it happening. Bernie just isn't a big enough threat to make Hillary move on anything major.

A bigger issue is how Hillary's people got the debate rules changed to minimize the number of debates, prevent 3rd party groups from having debates, and making sure the few official debates only happen on terms friendly to Hillary. The purpose of primaries are to make sure candidates are ready for prime time and I don't think it is a good idea to have a candidate's first real debate be in the general election. If they have a weakness we need to know it during the primary.

Honestly, this really is looking more like a coronation than a real primary.
