If so, I would really like to know. I think that would be an important factor in choosing who to support.
I really didn't put much thought into it. I suppose it might be because she most likely threw a heavy object at Bill because she couldn't control her temper. Either that or she's a controlling *****. I've heard that the latter is true. She's just very driven.

But then such a statement doesn't require an explanation because I just said it because I don't like her. I say things like that about people I don't like.

You must have been dropped on your head when you were a baby. Have you ever felt the top of your head to see if there's a big dent there?

        • So Sanders seems to be having a pretty nice time at the moment.

          • He can't win, sorry british conservatives

            • He might do well in Iowa and New Hampshire because almost everyone there is white, he has very little support among minorities.

              • And New Hampshire is literally next door to Sanders' home state of Vermont.

It looks as if he'll get destroyed in the South Carolina Democratic Primary, which comes right after NH (a poll of North Carolina Democrats come out today - Clinton is up by 35, and South Carolina is likely to be even more pro-Clinton).

I don't expect him to win, but he's getting much more attention and pulling much better funding than most people expected. This is a good thing as it may mean future Dem candidates aren't quite as afraid of talking about issues currently considered 'OMG, totally crazy commie stuff!'.

                  • I see Nate Silver brings up the racial issue too.

Question is though, why is his polling so low with non-whites? I can't actually think of any reason why it would be in particular, other than Clinton already having huge sway with those demographics. It'd be interesting to see what his positive/negative numbers are like with non-whites who already recognize his name.

                        A) It's not that Sanders is leading in Iowa or even New Hampshire. It's that he's closer than expected. Like within 20 points in Iowa instead of 50.
                        B) Sanders actually thinks in terms of a Socialist - therefore the major problem is class inequality and the focus should be on getting the big banks to pay their share, etc. Minority issues fall under the same rubric. It's a part of the class based inequality and if you can end that, you can stop racial inequality, etc. Or at the very least, that's how Sanders comes across. Minority groups are like... well, class inequality is all well and good, but we have our own issues that we feel are unrelated to simply monetary issues.

Which you'd imagine he might have some knowledge of considering he marched alongside Dr King. I read something suggesting that like he gave a white voice for Jesse Jackson, he probably needs black voices for his campaign now. Which appears to be starting to be fair.

                              • I don't think it's not that he lacks knowledge that these groups have their own issues and concerns; its that he thinks they all tie back to economic inequality. He didn't just call himself a Socialist for fun. He does believe in the underpinnings - that the base of society problems are economic in nature.
