Speaking of the Republican clown car... Clown Ted Cruz says the Supreme Court should be stripPed of its power to review laws for Constitutionalit if they make rulings he doesn't like.

Reviewing laws for constitutionality is, of course, the primary purpose of the court as stated in the constitution.

******* though he undoubtably is, congress do appear to have that power.

Judicial Review for SCOTUS isn't in the Constitution though it probably should have been. That was a power the Court granted itself in 1803.

Am I the only one who keeps getting RandPaul and RuPaul confused?

Maybe Paul will pick "You Gotta Work" for his campaign song?

Ted Cruz was president of the Harvard Law Review and clerked for Rehnquist. His opinions notwithstanding, he's a smart man and knows more about law--constitutional law in particular--than any of us.

Is it true that hilary clinton swallowed the non sex blowjob of her husband and didn't get a divorce just to have a chance of running for the presidency?

At the time, maybe not specifically. But keeping a politically expedient power marriage together was clearly in both their best interests. And being, um, the one to swallow certainly bought Hillary plenty of sympathy despite having the personality of a cold, dead fish.

No matter your political leanings, Rand Paul is an important candidate in the next election. He has the potential to shape the national debate by giving voice to issues not broached by candidates from either party and taking stances that break the traditional coalitions of our two political parties: criminal justice reform to help the employment prospects of non violent offenders and do away with minimum sentencing, the first steps to marijuana decriminalization, term limits on congressmen, the need for congressional approval for military actions, less foreign intervention and a reduction in military aid to other countries, simplifying the tax code with a flat tax and reduction of IRS bureaucracy, and an end to NSA spying on Americans. Even his distrust of the Federal Reserve and interest in the gold standard, while potentially damaging to the economy, shows a willingness to explore other options to the status quo. I am glad Rand Paul has the daring to take stances on issues outside of the mainstream debate and I hope he continues to have the gumption to run a campaign that gives voice to those not represented by the traditional catering to set interest groups that our party platforms are predicated upon. For that reason, irrespective of my support for him or lack thereof, I am glad Rand Paul is running for president and I think you should be glad too.

I actually have a reason to vote Republican after 35 years (I sure regret that vote)

And if the "left" was smart about it, they should be helping Paul win the GOP nomination. I want the best from both parties, I like a hybrid of Rand Paul and Elizabeth Warren. Their foreign policy would be especially appealing

Faster access to specialists = better chance of better results = better survival = better chance of dying if you don't pay, correct?
