        Memory gaps like that are side effects of ECT and certain drugs.....
        Have you tried either of those?

          I've been on antidepressants for good chunks of my life. No ECT. That said, depression is associated with memory deficits.

              If he doesn't remember anything about it, it's possible it wasn't actually a frog. It may have been a toad, which are easy to confuse with frogs even when you remember them. In that case the memory loss could be attributable to the effects of the toad's psychoactive secretions.
