It's a pizza place. How would they even know (for sure) that their customer was gay. It's not like they're asking for them to bake gay pizzas.

I wonder if the folks of hyperbolic newspaper writers realized that Memories Pizza could refuse service to LGBT individuals well before the RFRA was passed (LGBT folks are not a protected class and therefore could be discriminated against just as much as, say, people wearing green shirts). I'm guessing that's a no.

I'm more interested in what self respecting gay wedding is going to be catered by a pizza place. It's completely stupid how quick people are to anger.

I'm also stumped by your second statement since our fictional friend Joe here, I suppose could quit his job and do something else, but why should he have to just because he's gay? Seems like economic hardship to find a new job because he's not allowed in the restaurant the boss chooses to have lunch meetings at.

Granted my scenario isn't applying to real life as the restaurant owners themselves say they wouldn't have refused service to any LGBT people in shop, but my original point was that Joe would be being discriminated against in my narrative... the narrative that I believe the snowballing fear was regarding the law in its original form.

Pretty moot now, but it's funny seeing the other side froth and gnash and the fallout for places like the pizza place.

It would be nice if you could actually try to counterpoint rather than just trying to hide behind a statement of "it's an assumption". Of course it's an assumption, it's a scenario.
