I actually somewhat agree with that, but don't think making that point is helpful

I was in the city a few days ago... parked illegally along with a bunch of other people.

By the time I got back to the car, an officer had his pad out and was writing a ticket. I hustled up with my date. I pointed at my car as he was just starting to write a ticket. I said, "oops, that's me... is it cool if I just get out of here?"

He was all business. Stopped writing. "Sure. Be sure to pay attention to the sign."

It was an honest mistake. I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't pay close enough attention. I apologized, thanked him, and got in the car with my date. He moved on to the car in front of me, also illegally parked.

A young black man came hustling out of the store that the car was parked in front of. His pants were below his ass. Now, I'm not one to judge fashion choices. Everyone is free to express themselves however they like. When I'm out and about, I may be wearing black addidas pants and a black hoodie. A bit of a track suit. I'm going for "slavic baller".

However, this young man's problem was not race. My new romantic partner is African American. If the cop was racist, I'm sure the interracial relationship would have upset his sensibilities. This young man made the mistake of coming out hollering at the cop. I couldn't hear the conversation, but he was obviously not taking responsibility for his mistake. The cop wasn't amused. He started to ignore the young man and proceeded to write the ticket.

Knowing how to come correct and act right goes a long way towards getting a break from law enforcement when you fuck up.

The problem with Denmark is they forgot to tell customs officers not to let in jihadists.

Give them the right to record all conversations and detain people without warrant. Surely this will solve the problem.

Don't know about over there, but I doubt whether most Americans, under circumstances where forty rounds were being fired, could reliably tell an Arab from a Latino, Indian, or light-skinned black guy. Actually, I think if you gave the world's most wanted terrorist a shave, gave him a passport that said "Hector Gomez," and sent him to BWI, the harried TSA guys would let him through without a second thought.
