      It doesn't necessarily mean genetic factors. Lots of things are inherited from parents apart from genes. Experience is a big one. Intelligence is not only affected by genetics, there are lots of environmental factors. I'm not sure what the relative importance of them is, so I'm also not saying you are necessarily wrong.

      However, if heritability is greater than .5 on something as thoroughly-measured as IQ, we can be extremely confident (basically certain) that there is really a significant inheritance effect.
      If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?
