IQ's been increasing over the last century, too.

        let me ask

do you think humans have become smarter due to biological factors during this time?

has human evolution managed to work that fast?

        or perhaps...

is intelligence maybe based more on other factors?

        you know

        like i suggested
To us, it is the BEAST.

You're presenting a false dichotomy. Regardless, evolution can act that fast, yes. Butttt, at this point, the cause of the Flynn effect is unknown. But, back to the false dichotomy thing, intelligence can be largely heritable but still show influences from the environment. It's perfectly possible for the observed increases in IQ over the last century to be entirely due to environmental factors while the fact remains that genetics has more of an impact than environment.

            No.

You originally said I was "wrong" for suggesting that biological differences didn't play much of a role in differences in "intelligence".

You supported your argument by posting a link about the heritability of IQ... suggesting, at the very least, that you believe biological differences play a very large role in differences in IQ.

So nut up or shut up.

            Sounds like a massive backtrack.

also, you still are going to have to support this part:

Studies have consistently shown that the heritability of IQ is >.5, which means that more than half the variation of the trait is due to genetic factors. Therefore, the dominant factor is genetics.

                your own link doesn't agree

nowhere can i find such strong conclusions like that in your evidence

Comparing weight gain to IQ is apples to oranges ... if the oranges weren't actually fruits at all and instead were some high level abstraction of an inexact measurement of a presumably physical process beyond our ability to map out.

I must be. You'll have to quote the specific part I suppose.

I kind of biased since my I see pictures of when my mother was younger and looked like a dead ringer for her. (as most women were trying to)
As any son, I refuse to claim my mother was overrated.
