Also, healthy food actually is cheaper than pretty much all junk food. I swear to god, have you ever looked at how much ****ing celery costs? Packaged food is way, way, way more expensive than the cheapest stuff in the produce aisle and I guarantee it. Even frozen vegetables are only like $1 a bag. I have boxes of frozen spinach I paid 80 cents for apiece. If you're trying to lose weight, that makes a perfectly acceptable lunch. Nuke for 6 minutes and eat it out of the box.

Cans of peas. 50 cents from my local grocery store. 245 calories and it's a LOT of food, it will fill you up. Just open it up and eat it with a spoon. I do that all the time.

Black beans. 75 cents I think? Whole ****load of calories. Again, you can eat it out of the can.

e: I almost forgot, I get apples in huge bags for ~$1 a pound or so. Eat those.

You are using a totally subjective and arbitrary definition of failure, here. It doesn't belong in a discussion of natural selection.

That she reproduced is not an indicator of no disadvantage. If she weren't a fat phucker she may have had more kids or grandkids. Being a benefit scrounge seems to be positively correlated with having lots of kids [/Daily Mail] and so she may have been expected to have had more.
