Try not being an idiot. The Saudis used Wahhabism to unify the nation under the control of the House of Saud, and we supported them because we wanted the region pacified and under our influence. The Sauds are now reaping what they sowed from decades of keeping their people poor as hell while living in opulence and promoting a religious branch that can lead to extremism.

The common people in the Middle East hate us meanwhile because we've treated them like absolute **** for the last several centuries. We've funded the regimes that oppress them, routinely bombed their civilians because 'collateral damage' doesnt matter to us when it's brown people, and lied to them more times than I can remember. Please go away and google the 1953 Iranian coup d'état. That would be the one where the UK and US overthrew the democratically elected government of Iran and installed a monarch, the Shah as a western puppet.

Children did not have the right to be educated, and those that were educated were brainwashed by a system controlled by the clergy.

In 1955 American women had only had the right to vote for 35 years. As for non-Muslims not being elected to offices, how many non-Christians do you think were getting elected to office in the US back in 1955?
