the only time i went somewhere by myself was when i was in university in the second year (god i was lonely), so i went to an island in an organized camp. i tried to set up the tent but the little thingies wouldn't fit so i took a rock and slambanged it on them.
that had the result of completely severing the elastic rope so for all purposes my tent was ruined.
i still managed to set it up but it was bending so much to the right, it was like the tower of piza (sp?)
i only stayed two days there. couldnt stand the loneliness
i made two friends though. two english guys from a part of northern england if i remember correctly. had addresses exchanged and everything.
if i stayed more i would have had fun but i just packed and left

and i hate traveling alone but the SO has different ideas about traveling.
for me, autonomy is the number one thing.
i need to be able to pay the loan to the appartment (in two years I own it, good luck with any bojo trying to get me out of my house, even if i stay without a job) and i dont care if i dont eat at a fancy restaurant when traveling.
the issue is to see and enjoy and not spend money you dont have.
so if this means we are at nothern scotland but we ****ing cook each day then that's what's important.
hell i'll go to a scottish supermarket and cook a local dish. i can do it. i'm great at it.
but i dont have money for frivolous expences and eating at restaurants and **** IS frivolous expences. drinking 20 euros coctails IS frivolous expences.
we just dont see eye to eye on this at ALL.
maybe i'm being unfair though. i'm in a lot of financial strain though.

You could always come to Chicago and save money by living on the street.

next to a barel with fire burning, wearing wollen gloves with the fingertips missing, a small bottle of cheap liquior and telling tales of what it was like in vietnam. great
( at least that's how it is in the films )

It's summer now. You won't need a barrel fire or gloves.

The price is quite competitive. But it is also a sore loser... and talks a lot of smack.

                            smack talk
The art of telling another person off, belittling them or calling their momma fat, while in the heat of competition.
Man, your mamma so fat she got her own zip code!

You can't play madden dawg cause you broke ass and your plays are weak!

Senator Obama was talking smack about President Bush.
