While Kirk plays his way through the entire game in order to get our formal review done, I thought I'd pass the time by writing up my own impressions of Ubisoft's Watch Dogs, which I've been playing for a couple of days now.
The city is close enough to Chicago to pass muster. Though, if you've regularly driven up and down Lake Shore Drive, it's going to look different... especially that bridge on the Chicago River.
ACK!Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

Why is there never a game set in Philadelphia? Not even Assassin's Creed 3, set in the god damned American revolution, featured Philadelphia.
Complete bull****. The 5th largest city in the country which was even bigger and more important earlier in American history is never featured in video games or television shows and rarely in movies."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
"I have nothing against Wilson, but he's nowhere near the same calibre of QB as Flutie. Flutie threw for 5k+ yards in the CFL." -Ben Kenobi

I thought the "online invasion" modes would be annoying. They are surprisingly fun.
The hacking mode is great. You have to hide in an area while you "hack" (a progress bar slowly goes up) a human player while they run around trying to profile you. If they find you, you have to escape.
I had one where the guy kept running right past me. I was crouching up against a wall. I guess he was looking for a standing pedestrian. You're supposed to try to blend in with crowds. Sadly, if you can recognize the player model, it really turns into a very easy game of "where's waldo".To us, it is the BEAST.

Got in.
I've been tweaking the graphics today. I was able to get 2560x1600 to run with ultra textures around 30-50 fps. The game still doesn't make use of SLI, even when using the newest nvidia drivers and game profile.
AA is very demanding. I can get the game looking great with the highest setting. Sadly, it only runs around 15 fps:
Here is the before and after... AA highest settings versus AA off. Sorry for high resolution, again.
BEFORE (AA maxed)
AFTER (no AA)
To us, it is the BEAST.
