How do you not profit, if you get a 400bn sale of something out of the ground going, with a price which is set to follow the price of oil? Even if the infrastructure costs is about 50bn. While China is probably getting a good deal, in terms of their own positioning Russia is diversifying.
Soon everyone will be junior partner to Chinese anyhow, if it is not the case already.
