Basically, it is based off a $750 build at Tom's Hardware, but I beefed up the processor and graphics a bit, and the motherboard and power supply and case to match, just in case it was needed. Not sure if such adjustments were necessary or not, and I can shave off $50 with a i5-3750 or something like that, can't remember exactly what off the top of my head.

So, is this okay, or should I fiddle with things a bit?

pcpartpicker.com has a good listing function... I would recommend using that site, even just for reference.

Do you have a preferred vendor?

overall, it looks good... I'm just concerned about the PSU. Lemme check on that, brb.

You have SSD and Spinning hard drive. Do you need both? How big is the spinning hard drive?

PSU is fine. The only thing I might suggest is a little higher on the output, maybe 750W.... just in case you want to add another card and SLI at some point.

Are you going to be playing AAA titles? or games otherwise graphically intensive?

Having an SSD is essential. Everything loads faster. It's a relatively minor expense compared to the rest of the system, but easily makes the PC experience so much faster.

But.... they aren't yet affordable to be used as storage drives. Thus, the need for spinny drives.

If you play a lot of games, it can be tricky deciding which games get installed on the SSD and which don't.

I only play 1 or two games at a time and am willing to install/uninstall. I have a NAS drive for storage.

              for i5s
are the 3xxxx ok or are 4xxxx worth the 10 euros more?
and which motherboard is ok for them?

Okay. So you only need an SSD.

You can save 17 bucks on the mouse by buying at Amazon it looks like

You can get the same graphics card for $357 at amazon as well instead of newegg's $370

Others here will undoubtedly help decide between mbs, chips, memory, etc. But it looks like once you finally decide, you'll need to do some comparison price shopping.

edit: I knew others would hop on this, just not quite this fast

pcpartpicker has a calculator for wattage if you feel like inputting all the parts into their little thingy

My system is similar to yours. I had a 650W psu also. It didn't like when I added a second 660ti. I had to go up to 750.

Adding a second 770 would make your system outperform a single Titan.

You may need an extra little bit of wattage. But double check with pcpartpicker just to be sure.

Yeah, Amazon is going to be a lot better than Newegg.

                        Guy, do you have Prime?
