Bah, my current monitor is fine, I can't imagine things look that much different compared to 1900x1200 or whatever the hell it is.

Besides, beefing up the resolution that much would put more stress of the GPU, no?

Yes. But it's worth it. You'll forget pixels are a thing.

          I have a 3570K. It's awesome.

If it's only 10 Euro more, go with the 4xxx. What is your budget?

Sorry, I can't remember what series motherboard is required. I hate to sound like a spambot, but go to pcpartpicker.com

          They simply the process immensely

Thanks I actually don't have a limit on budget these days. (save every little penny etc)
Just wondering. I'm not going to do an upgrade just yet.
I prefer going with the SO on holidays.
But I think I can manage to fix myself a PC.
              I'm set on i5. Wasn't sure about the 3xxx or 4xxx line.
Will get an SSD for sure as well.

What's the big advantage? On the Tom's Hardware hierarchy chart, they are on the same tier.

SSD + hard drive makes a ton of sense. SSDs are expensive but fast, hard drives are slow but cheap.

You really need an SSD. It makes OS/PC lightning fast compared to HDD only, and you can install programs/games that require a lot of the computer on it to speed stuff up and let the rest be on a HDD.

Really, you will feel the difference.

I'd imagine you could get a laptop with similar specs for around the same price.

Also, as a rich doctor, you could splurge a little, maybe?
