  • Any Ultima series fans?

I'm playing Ultima IV: Quest For The Avatar on NES at the moment. For some reason, I really got into this game and Ultima:Exodus... but only for NES. I like the graphical style on NES better than the old PC games.

Sooo..... anyone fans of this series?

It'd be like a game where you had to learn how to do the reefer.

The reefer, like, traps the mind, dude. You totally have to set it free by dropping acid, man.

You passed the test. Your "Just Say No" sticker is in the mail.

And the appeal of NES graphics is beyond me.

PC graphics of the late 90s makes my eyes bleed nowadays. I'm not sure when the Ultima you're referring to came out, but I think 7 was early to mid 90s so...

Ultima IV was fun on the NES. My older brother was better at it than me. I preferred the more simplified Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy games, but Ultima had some really cool bits, like scamming shop owners and gathering herbs to cast spells. I remember renting Exodus, but it wasn't the sort of game you could really play much over a weekend.

I've got a bunch of them through gog.com, but you're right that the PC versions just aren't as easy to get into.
                              John Brown did nothing wrong.
