Amazon is a well known dragons egg trafficker. Despite activists' best efforts, public outcry remains non-existent because of the whole "mythical creature" misperception.

The blog is a book seller affiliate. They just want people to click a link to Amazon and buy stuff witin 24 hours, so they get 4 to 8% of the purchasing price. They probably don't expect anyone from here to actually buy anything ... but they want the links because then Google bots will go to all these forums and see links to their page and think ... well if Apolyton says it's a good site, it must be so ... because IMPECCABLE TASTE is going on all up in that joint ...

On a related note, buy stuff from Amazon ... you know you want to.

The ads have been paying for the server, but I'd like to have a bit extra to use for promotions and beer money for the mods from time to time.
