I'm amused that you so readily accept Kerry's claim. Nevertheless, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were true.

No. Sorry. If it isn't written on the internet (and thus, linkable), then it didn't happen.

There's ~7 Billion of them on this planet. What makes Africa worthy of concern?

1/7 of the so-called humans reside on that continent. Therefore, they deserve 1/7 of your total concern. Why is this so hard for you?

Boko Haram burned between 40 and 59 boys alive on February 25. There was no thread from you then.

They actually mentioned the lack of media attention for that on NPR. Then they said it's because of other stories. They actually believe this crap.

You misunderstand the point of me posting this thread--which is odd, because I've explicitly mentioned the purpose of posting it several times. I thought it was astounding that the international response had been so muted for so long. And I think it's astounding that something like this can happen in the ****ing 3rd millennium. I didn't post this thread because those poor girls keep me up at night or anything like that.

You won't get me on inconsistency here. The single biggest threat to human life we need to worry about is heart disease. I don't remember the last time we had a thread about that. I'm not going to post one, though, because I don't intrinsically value human life. You, presumably, are sane and do. If I'm wrong, and you're just as much of an amoral bastard as I am, then okay.

                                nigeria is rich in oil.
foreign companies and gov. officials want as much dissaray as possible in order for the people not to unite and demand a just price for their oil.
the chaotic situation which produces such phenomena is consciously supported

they care very much for africa. just in the wrong way
