Zelda II was worse, but I give them credit for trying something new. They could have just made a palette swapped cash-in sequel, like the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2, but instead they tried to show us Hyrule from a whole new dimension. Too bad it sucked. I'd rather play Faxanadu.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

I think it's a generational thing. If you weren't exposed to the seismic shift from games like Pitfall and Pac-Man to The Legend of Zelda, it's harder to appreciate what it was like to see it for the first time.John Brown did nothing wrong.

And also, I think stuff seems so much cooler when we are younger. We tend to look back on that stuff with rose-tinted goggles. I'm noticing it with the younger generation too. Pokemon just seems so stupid. But I understand it maybe seeming cool because one liked it as a child.
Heck, I missed out on Power Rangers by just a year or two. I was 13 and remember thinking that shit was stupid. But at 10 or 11? I maybe woulda liked it.
I say this all despite still loving the TMNT and 80's GI Joe.To us, it is the BEAST.

Power Rangers was awesome when I was a kid. Seeing it today, I barf. TMNT is still good though. But TMNT 2003 is much better.Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10

Don't get me wrong, the old one is great. But the new one has a more mature feel, better character developments and stories and is closer to the original comic. The rebooted 2012 series is horrible though.Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
