TMM, which web comic? I'm always looking to add a new one to the rotation.

How disturbingly back on topic for a 'Poly thread.

Well there is a British bank holiday at the moment, traditionally the time when families decamp to a bitterly cold and uninviting seaside 'resort' where the locals (the real locals, not the mentally ill and drug addicts and single parent families decanted to cheaper out of London accommodation) scowl at the incomers while gladly parting them from their hard-earned groats and or purses/wallets.

In the teeth of a Force 9 gale families in cars will face the sea determinedly eating over-salted chips and arguing about whose turn it is to try to get radio reception, all the while desperately ignoring their grandmother's belligerent flatulence and appalling halitosis.

In the town the gilded scions of England's youth will be trying to usher one another into the afterlife, via kerbstones or broken pint glasses.

This royal throne of kings, this scepter'd isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
      This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea....
Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.

Erfworld, which has become much more texty and much less comicy, but still good.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I can't think of any, at least, and I saw a lot of games in eight years of doing it.

Carney is a term carneys use themselves - I've no idea if it's okay for you or I to say it.

So does renfair beat carney? Who is the third option in this game? LARPers?

Oh, rennies are rather like carneys and larpers had a baby who went into low-rent showbiz, but with more drugs...

I never understood why tea wasn't preferred. Pothead friends confirmed my surmise that it was a more efficient delivery system.

                        A tea would be interesting.

Though, drinking for a purpose besides quenching thirst can be a chore sometimes.
