Well there is a British bank holiday at the moment, traditionally the time when families decamp to a bitterly cold and uninviting seaside 'resort' where the locals (the real locals, not the mentally ill and drug addicts and single parent families decanted to cheaper out of London accommodation) scowl at the incomers while gladly parting them from their hard-earned groats and or purses/wallets.

In the teeth of a Force 9 gale families in cars will face the sea determinedly eating over-salted chips and arguing about whose turn it is to try to get radio reception, all the while desperately ignoring their grandmother's belligerent flatulence and appalling halitosis.

In the town the gilded scions of England's youth will be trying to usher one another into the afterlife, via kerbstones or broken pint glasses.

It's a matter of opinion - carneys sometimes pride themselves on how crooked their games can be and get away with it; a carney told me so. Renfair people tend to look down their noses at them, not that it comes up often, there being not a lot of similarity. Renfairs don't tend towards games with any prizes, after all. I can't think of any, at least, and I saw a lot of games in eight years of doing it.

Carney is a term carneys use themselves - I've no idea if it's okay for you or I to say it.
