We definitely have. The first time was when I PMed you about calling Sloww "silly". It's a boundary, clearly articulated; you don't have to understand why he feels that way, but you're not being the nice guy you work so hard at being if you don't respect it.

The Frog Pond just passed another 24.5 hours of dead OT. That's on-topic almost as dead as here, OT much, much deader.

I count 15 of the top 30 members in PC no longer post there and the #2 guy, Roth, finally passed 1/3rd as many posts as me with two extra years to work on it. He mostly just posts in an OT spam thread now - eight days ago, last time.

Aeson's planning to do something about on-topic. I bet am sure Solver Old King Log isn't.

That's been frustrating. The last time I googled, I couldn't find a single item with anything new in it.

I'm beginning to conclude that the Firaxis/2K promotional/PR people aren't very good. I know I would like to know more, but they don't seem to be dribbling new info out to keep interest hopping. Maybe it doesn't matter that they can't be bothered to cultivate promotional venues like AC2 or here.

Ah well; I'm sure we'll be drowned in it in a few months. Meanwhile, getting our houses in order...

I think there's a lot of good things happening/happened at WPC. It would be better for all involved if the split never happened of course. (Except me, as I never would have become dictator benevolent servent of the people ... )

Apolyton still gets a lot of search engine traffic since it's a PR5 forum founded like before the internet or something. (At least the internet for me!) About 300 to 600 users are "active" at most times of the day... though in reality it's rather less than that because vB overreports as it counts sessions for quite a while after they've probably left. In either case, this is about 5 to 6 times as many users as WPC, and about 1/3 to 1/4 of CivFanatics. (Which both use vB and so have similar issues with the over-reporting.) So Apolyton isn't that far gone ... just needs some interactive content to keep people around and build a community.

The content creators who left for WPC would have a bigger audience here. As is, anyone who does happen to Apolyton for on-topic stuff quickly goes back to Google and ends up posting at Civfanatics because they have people posting already. If some of these other forums would like to merge back or get involved here we could quickly build a vibrant on-topic community again. Rainy season starts in July and I'll have the roof on the house by then I hope. That gives me a decent run-up to BE to work on the site if they release in November. You'll want to be on-board this train
