My parents would be fine with it, they have said repeatedly that they find the idea of a funeral ceremony to be a ridiculous use of money (not to mention morbid as ****). I've never asked my neighbours. What interests me though is why you as an athiest would care.

This is also alleged to have happened by parents.

Human dignity is a thing even in Europe, yes?

I'm a big fan of showing dignity to humans. Human remains on the other hand, who cares when it's something like this? It's not like they were parading the remains around in public. Something actually useful came out of this.

I kind of hate this morbid fascination with dead bodies. It's the same crap that's led human civilization to pump insane amounts of labour and resources into burial mounds while people slaved and starved. Even now poor people spend endless thousands they can't afford because they feel like it's the expected thing to do. Meh to it.

Yeah, as long as you're going to perform abortions, I really don't see a problem with this.

The fact that people do care is really all that matters. It helps that caring about it transcends all cultures.

You could take the same view about cannibalism really (and some people do).

I'll definitely care because you care.

                      Welp. **** that then.

But otherwise, I have no problem with this.

It reminds me of the Buchenwald lampshades.

Yes, it's clearly exactly the same.

There are similarities but the obvious difference is that those lampshades weren't exactly made to save on fabric costs.
