A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

I don't agree with that at all. The North was always in the advantage and those battles didn't change that. What was really decisive in the civil war was the aftermath of the Battle of Sharpsburg aka Antietam, because McClellan's incredible cowardice made the war drag on another three years.

This is certainly true, but by cunningly offering tax breaks to converts and requiring that children of mixed marriages be brought up Muslim and by emancipating their children by slaves and concubines, Muslims made a lot more Muslims in places such as Egypt and Visigothic Spain.

Even after Tours, Muslims could still operate from the south of France and Burgundy had the unfortunate distinction of being sacked by Muslims, Magyars and Vikings.

People used to erroneously surmise that the landscape or weather stopped a further Muslim advance- yet the Berber warriors who overran Visigothic Spain were quite at home in cold, wet weather.

'Tours' is one of Colvin's decisive battles, by the by. And a popular 'What If' too.

In 750, the Umayyad's were defeated and superseded by the Persianized Abbasids. The remnants of the Umayyad's found their way to Spain, permanently fracturing the Islamic ummah.
In 751 the Chinese Tang were defeated by the armie sof Islam at the Battle of the River Talas. What stopped further expansion in Europe is more likely the Berber revolt.

Yes. Just as Hungarians practice the same religion as Mongolia because the Mongols successfully raided and laid waste to the Kingdom of Hungary!!!!!
